Meitarim aims to make every child, no matter what their religious background or affiliation, feel comfortable learning in the classroom.
Teaching Jewish topics can present a potential problem in the classroom,
as each student enters the classroom with his/her own, individual interpretation of religious practice. Meitarim’s original curriculum is designed to provide students with a deeper knowledge of their Jewish heritage and be more comfortable and confident with their Jewish identity,
while at the same time respecting individual practices.
Examples of original Meitarim curriculum include Sabbath, Jewish Holidays, Jewish lifestyle events,
dietary laws, prayer, and Bible studies.
